Life Triumphant Church

What We Believe

The Scriptures: We believe that the Bible Old and New Testaments are the inspired word of God.

The Godhead: We believe our God is One but manifested in three persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Man his fall and redemption: We believe man was created good and upright but by voluntary transgression fell and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Jesus Christ the only way: We believe Salvation is a gift of God to man, separate from works and the law and it is received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Sanctification: We believe in sanctification, which is living a life of holiness.

Water Baptism: We believe Jesus commanded all believers to be baptized by immersion in water.

Communion: We believe communion (the Lords supper), is a commemoration of the death of the Lord Jesus Christ and is done in remembrance of Him until he returns.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit: We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence in speaking in other tongues.

Divine Healing: We believe that healing is provided for in the atonement of Jesus Christ and is the privilege of every member of the Church today.  We also believe that God has gifted men and women within the medical profession to bring healing to His children, so either by divine or natural means ALL healing is from God.

Faith: We believe faith is the major doctrine of the Bible. We can receive nothing through God’s Word without faith.

Resurrection of the just and the return of our Lord: We believe in the physical bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hell and eternal retribution: We believe the one who physically dies without accepting and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord is hopelessly and eternally lost.

Expanded Beliefs:

The Scriptures: We believe the Bible, Old and New Testaments, are the infallible, inspired word of God and that its authority is ultimate and final. We accept it as our only guide in matters pertaining unto life and doctrine. (2 Tim. 3:16; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).

The Godhead: We believe our God is one but manifested in three persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, all being co-equal and eternally existent (omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient). (Phil 2:6, John 14:28, John 16:28, John 1:14, John 1:1, John 1:18, John 15:26)

Man his fall and redemption: We believe man was created good and upright with dominion over the earth, for God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness and let them have dominion.” but by voluntary transgression fell and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  (Gen. 1:26-31; Rom. 5:12-21; Rom. 3:13; I John 3:8)

Jesus Christ the only way: We believe Jesus Christ, the Son of God was born of a virg in (Mary), was sent to give life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. He provided us with salvation which is a gift of God to man, separate from works and the law. It is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ that we are reborn. The new birth is necessary to all people and when experienced produces eternal life. (Romans 5:14, Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23, 1 John 3:8, Ephesians 2:8, 2 Corinthians 7:10, 1 John 5:12, John 3:3-5)

Sanctification: We believe in sanctification, which is living a life of holiness. We believe the doctrine of sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ’s return. (Heb.12:14; Thess.5:23; 2 Peter.3:18; Phil.3:12-14; 1 Cor.1:30)

Water Baptism: We believe Jesus commanded all believers to be baptized by immersion in water.  This is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His burial and resurrection. (Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12, Acts 8:36-39).

Communion: We believe communion (the Lords supper), consisting of the elements, bread and the fruit of the vine, is a commemoration of the death of the Lord Jesus Christ and is done in remembrance of Him until He returns. (1 Corinthians 11:26, 2 Peter 1:4)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit: We believe that all believers are entitled to, should ardently expect, and earnestly seek, the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian church. With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. This wonderful experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth. (Luke 24:29; Matthew.3:11; John 14:14:16-17; Acts 1:4,8; 2:4,38, 19:1-7; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31; Acts 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9).

Divine Healing: We believe that healing for the physical ills of the human body is available by the power of God. It is provided for in the atonement of Jesus Christ and is the privilege of every member of the Church today. We also believe that God has gifted men and women within the medical profession to bring healing to His children, so either by divine or natural means ALL healing is from God. (Mark 16:18, James 5:14-25, 1 Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:17, Isaiah 53:4-5)

Faith: We believe faith is the major doctrine of the Bible. We can receive nothing through God’s Word without faith. Faith believes with the heart and confesses with the mouth. Without faith we cannot please God. (Mark 11:22-24, Rom 10:8-10, Heb 11:6)

Resurrection of the just and the return of our Lord: We believe in the physical bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven. The resurrection of those who have died in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, is the imminent and blessed hope of the church and the millennial reign of Christ on earth is the Scriptural promise and the world's hope. After this the ushering in of the enternal Kingdom. (Act 1:11; Revelation 19:11-14; Romans 11:26-27; Revelation 20:1-7; 21 ; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:12; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; Romans 8:23).

Hell and eternal retribution: We believe the one who physically dies without accepting and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord is hopelessly and eternally lost. This person will spend eternity in hell and then the lake of fire, eternally lost, without hope and without God. (Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 19:20)
